Usb hub??????? i just bought a usb hub and the light gets annoying when i sleep i was wondering if i could just let the computer power the hub instead of the external power source... will it hurt anything?? i had one before but the soldiering burned off?? i was letting the computer power it.... was that the problem... id appreciate any answers

I have a USB hub, my computer keeps saying It can work faster if connected to usb root hub. But I cant find i? The USB root hub is inside the computer isn't it? If so how do I connect my 7 port usb hub into it? How would connecting it to the root hub make it faster as compared to leaving it connected to one of the external usb ports?

Device doesn't work on USB hub but works when directly connected to the computer? I have 2 different devices (a label printer and a digital camara) that work just fine when plugged into one of the USB ports that are built into my computer but don't work when I plug them into my USB hub. USB hub splitter causes flash drives to fail? I hooked up an older USB hub splitter so i could connect multiple devices to my computer.
