Can I use a standard USB hub to plug in more than 2 controllers in a PS3?

I just bought a 40 gig, reverse compatible PS3 last night, the only thing I don't really like about it is that there are only 2 USB ports. I have a USB hub that I use on my laptop, where I can plug in one port but frees up 4 more. Will this work to charge more than two controllers at a time with my PS3?

1. For charging it should work. For playing, I don't think so, but I guess you'll find out!

3. Yes it will work! However, it is advisable to use a USB hub that has its own power supply otherwise it will suck to much power from the PS3 and could result in damage to your PS3!
4. Ya it will work just plug the hub into the PS3, but you need to buy USB controller chargers.
