Can I use a USB hub as a school virus scanner for flash drives?

Our school wont allow flash drives because some students were putting viruses on the nework. Is there a machine with multiple USB ports that will scan for viruses before students are allowed to use their flash drives? OR Can i use a USB hub connected to a computer with virus scanner software on it and scan the flash drives simultainiously?

1. No. Hubs are simply used to daisy chain USB devices.
2. No. You would need to have a decent virus application on each PC. Or you could use Linux; there are no viruses for Linux.
