I have a USB hub, my computer keeps saying It can work faster if connected to usb root hub. But I cant find i?
The USB root hub is inside the computer isn't it? If so how do I connect my 7 port usb hub into it? How would connecting it to the root hub make it faster as compared to leaving it connected to one of the external usb ports?

- Are you using one computer to hook others to the internet, if so this is what it is talking about you have one computer hook to the internet through a phone line or a router of sorts the others run through it via the usb if you hook one up you would not get this message but you are hooking more then one to it so you are using a usb hub it is normal dint worry about it just means that it has a lot too look at
- im not positive but i am quite sure that you should plug any usb device into your computer directly, as opposed to the hub. each usb port is capable of 400 megabytes per second of transfer speed, but your usb hub has to divide that up between 7 other usb ports..which obviously makes each individual port slower. so, to make whatever you are plugging into the hub (such as a flashdrive) plug it directly into the computer, not the hub.
- this happens when you plug a usb 2 device into a usb1 port
