USB Gloves

What's the best cord organization system for gadgets that need to plug into your USB ports?

I have 4 USB ports in the back of my computer, but I also have about 15 devices that need to be plugged in. 3 printers, mouse, keyboard, 2 different types of scanners, 2 digital cameras, 2 PDA's, musical keyboard, voice recorder... and I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but you get the idea. I'm forever unplugging stuff and trying to figure out which cord goes to which. I've labelled the cords with masking tape and written the device names on the tape, but it's still a mess. Anyone else have any ideas or has anyone seen a USB organizing device for this type of problem? Thanks for your help.

  1. I just did this the other day! It sucks, but once it is organized is is so much easier. So I bought a cord cable tube from IKEA. It is is gray in color, about 2-3inches wide and about 10feet long. You can cut as much desired amount as you need. So what I did is unplug literally each one as I trailed the cord and organized them by section. One tube with printer cables, one for the modem, one for the mouse, etc. Then if you want to take it a step further you can even get a sharpie and label them on duct tape or painter's tape. Good luck! I hope this helps!
