I have an mp3 with loads of music on. In the glove box of my new car is a usb. The mp3 plugs in no music?

MP3 works but will not play thro the usb in the car??

  1. make sure your radio is on the right setting to play your mp3s
  2. Surely the USB connection on the MP3 player is for input. The output is through the socket that the speakers fit.
  3. Make sure you select the correct sorce on your head unit. normally " AUX "
  4. The USB socket is for a memory device ie a USB stick with mp3 files on it. Mp3 players connect thru USB but generally need some special driver software on the PC to see them. A car stereo doesn't have this.
